50A RATHBONE PLACE LONDON
ENVY HOSTS BROADCAST HOTSHOTS
August 2010

A fresh crop of Talent walked through the doors of ENVY to be photographed for the Broadcast HOTSHOTS feature. It profiles more than 50 of TV’s most talented youngsters across the industry from writers to directors and from business to post production.

ENVY was fortunate to have two of our own talented high flyers making the grade this year, Victoria Gordon and Mat Appleton.

Victoria and Mat’s write up in Broadcast:

Victoria Gordon joined ENVY as a runner when the facility opened in 2006. Now she’s at the cutting edge of post, recently assisting on a Bear Grylls series for Discovery, working not only on a standard 2D deliverable but also a stereoscopic version. “Her technical ability is second to none and she has incredible creative flair” says ENVY head of VFX Marcus Dryden. “Hard work and dedication have resulted in a steady and impressive progression in her VFX knowledge and skills base plus she’s great with clients”

Client care, attention to detail, brand awareness, ideas and enthusiasm are the qualities that make Mat Appleton stand out in the world of post marketing. Instrumental in creating the ENVY Academy in 2008, the post house’s successful work experience scheme, Appleton and facility director Natascha Cadle have given more than 200 students and trainees their first step into post-production. “He gives a lot of students and youngsters an opportunity in the broadcast industry, which is invaluable to ENVY” says Cadle.

Congratulations to Victoria, Mat and all this years HOTSHOTS!
